Artists in Healthcare MB are thrilled that Willie Wiebe can return to play for patients at CancerCare MB in Steinbach thanks to a new Manitoba Arts Council grant. 

MAC has funded our Art by the Big Blue Chair program at CancerCare for close to two decades. The hours of visual art and live music they have granted through us to patients, thanks to the musicians and artists funded, is simply fantastic.  Thank you Manitoba Arts Council.

Willie Wiebe graduated as an Eaton scholar at the University of Toronto in 1992, where he studied under Norbert Kraft. Wiebe has taught guitar for 40 years at various universities, colleges, and studios. Since 2012 he has been playing for Artists in Healthcare in their CancerCare program.
