I hope the spring feels as exciting to you as it does to me!  I’d like to share with you a few events that I will be a part of, coming up shortly.

First, on Thursday April 23rd, I will be a special guest for one song in a DreamPlay concert at the Winnipeg Art Gallery.  This concert will feature Margaret Sweatman and The Broken Songs Band and they will be doing songs by Leonard Cohen, Patti Smith, Gord Downie, Bob Dylan, Scott Nolan, and more.  The show starts at 7:30pm and admission is “pay what you want”.

Next, on Saturday April 25th, I will be a part of a french language cabaret called “Le Cabaret Des Mille Plaisirs“. This one will be held at the CCFM (Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain – 340 Provencher), salle Antoine Gaborieau (the indoor Patio 340).  It’s on the second floor of the CCFM, at 7:30-9:30pm.  Here is a link to the website for tickets and more info:

I also wanted to share something else I have been doing every second Sunday evening, at X-Cues (551 Sargent Ave), 7-9pm.  The West End Jazz Bandits, a jazz band I sing and play flute in, hosts a jazz drop-in, where you can bring an instrument and sit in with the band (sheet music is provided).  You can also just come and enjoy the music.  The next one is this coming Sunday April 19th.  Then, it’s May 3rd, 17th, and 31st, etc.  We sing and play jazz standards and we have fun with it!
